another weekend of rain. blame it on the rain folks cause its not going away for awhile and it just might be the next new hot cop-out.
so i had kind of an annoying epiphany last week that resulted in our generation’s new addiction: CRACKspace. i have nothing against male photographers, in fact i think it’s sexy as hell. but something just rubs me the wrong way with this new phenomenon, thanks to myspace, of dudes all over the place taking pictures of themselves surrounded by so-called hot girls with their digital cameras in the clubs. it just doesn’t seem right, right? especially when the words repeated right after sound like: "yo ima post this shit up on myspace dont tripp". ok ok. and i dont mean to bring the bias gender role in, because i love drunken digital moments - thanks to saris camera - whether for blogging or personal use/fetish...but dudes in CLUBS, its weird...right?
speaking of so-called hot girls (cause they’re usually the ones that aren’t), i can’t stand the new "thing" of girls tryna be lesbian in the club--well maybe its not a thing and ive been oblivious. fake lesbian shit?! girls that need to hump their girlfriend in the clubs for attention is LAME FOLKS! stop!
on a much lighter side: if anyone’s met my pops, aka poppa lama, you know he’s probably the greatest man in the world. yeah, it’s true i wanna marry a man just like my dad. anyways this weekend we, the (t)ibetan (a)ssociation of (n)orthern (c)alifornia and the (t)ibetan (y)outh (c)ongress had a very successful jump-off fundraiser at the fairmount hotel in hopes to hopefully raise money for a Tibetan community center in the bay area ('you dont have one?' ---right?), AND i was my dads date. the turnout was great and the event was sponsored by ZIA Skincare (not a drug company), who in turn donated $10,000 to TANC!!! stay tuned for more updates on how this is going.
TANC we were in full attendance, of course, while my mom and her girlfriends attended a Bollywood Concert at the coliseum last night. Yes, my mom's obsessed with Hindhu movies, actors, songs and serials, and all i heard today were stories of how they tried to trick security into getting backstage. no lie.
dont forget folks
