::in other news::
before my wasted ass went over to minna last night XLR8R had an opening/announcement/media collab party with Revision3 at this crazy spot downtown called Slide.

Ok so XLR8R's gonna start adding a video portion of each issue with artist interviews, music video, word on the street shit straight off their website. seems approrprate in this new webtv day and age, so its seems pretty exciting. They've teamed up with this new to me company called Revision3. Basically a new web "network". Its a great concept cause its basically going to be the next stages of InternetTV.
Layman's Term: Revision3 is your host network aka NBC/MTV or whatever
And on the network you have different shows...XLR8R TV being one of them. Anyways if you want to check out the pilot episode its here: http://www.revision3.com/xlr8rtv/pilot

Ok so then it was at this crazy posh space called Slide. I ain't never heard of it cause its next to Ruby Skye, need I say more. I mean the place has got HDMonitors around the bar where they looped the XLR8R TV intro...Bryant was spinning off a Baby Grand Piano. Uh YES. They scaled and revamped their piano so that instead of keys its a pair of ttables, not to mention a fancy rack slash "placeholder" for yo laptop! uggh. And you enter through a mother fuckin slide!

Oh yeah its that serious. Homegirl at the top has to walkie talkie her shit to get a "slide check" before people go down. Haahahaaa. And the best part about it: NO POSH YUPPERS. well obviously because it was a private party, but amongst this posh swankyness i was surrounded by music, tech and internet geeks. awh.
And then i read about this off their website:
Back in the Prohibition Era of San Francisco, 430 Mason Street was a space called The Cable Car Theater. Below The Cable Car Theatre was a restaurant called Cafe Dans. In actuality, Cafe Dans was not a restaurant, but a speakeasy that could be accessed only by a savvy few that would push a secret wall that would lead you to a playground slide. This slide would take you below street level where one could indulge in illicit gambling and the drinking of bootleg whiskey and spirits. In an era of secret codes and handshakes, the speakeasy was a hidden subculture of nightlife. HARRA COO, RIGHT?

OK SO GO TO MADRONE TOMMOROW NIGHT IT'LL BE LIKE A HOODIES AND HEELS REUNION: JULIA & KAMAL!!!! scroll down for last months pictures
